FAMILY STYLE RESIDENTIAL CENTER

In 2018 the Carmelite Sisters began a dialogue with local non-profits, the Archdiocese and other care providers to assess the needs of the local community and gaps in current services.  Two areas were brought to the forefront; the need for women’s residential services and the lack of programming on weeknights and weekends.

Our $4.5 million family style residential center provides an opportunity for adult women with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in a high quality supported care environment.  A registered nurse is on call 24 hours a day.  Each woman has the privacy of her own customized apartment suite and the benefit of community programming.

The residential center opened in October of 2019 with a special ceremony by Milwaukee Bishop James Schuerman.
