The Carmelite Ministry of St. Teresa is an Apostolic work of the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus Northern Province. The mission of the ministry is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We achieve our mission through our women’s residential center and our Formation and Enrichment Center open to the public.
Opened in October of 2019, our family style residential center provides housing for adult women ages 21 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Formation and Enrichment Center (FEC) serves the broader community of Southeastern Wisconsin, addressing the need for activities and programming during the week, weeknights and on the weekend. The FEC offers courses including: arts & crafts, music, poetry, Zumba and cooking. Additionally the FEC provides opportunities to share in the Sacraments, formation and catechesis programs and group prayer.
